Johnny Cash and Others - We the People=Folk Era
- This seems to be a tribute to Johnny Cash, but there are others on this CD. It is compiled of Folk songs from the year of 1987, some honoring the Alamo and the Last Frontier. It reminds you of the folk songs you heard in grade school and of songs on historical movies. It is definitely catered to this great Nation, the US, with its tributes and familiar geographical references. Johnny Cash gives a prelude for some songs, such as Track 19 with historical information and gives honors and accolades to great leaders such as John and Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King, and speaks of their peaceful protests and their untimely deaths.

He has songs such as The Battle of New Orleans and Remember the Alamo. And the Shaw Brothers sing We the People with great Banjo playing and harmony. Although, there are slight errors where Johnny is speaking on some tracks, they are a little mixed up, for some tracks where there should be music playing, like on Track 19 where the Shaw brothers are to sing This Land is Your Land and Power and the Glory by the Limeliters, Johnny is speaking about the Nation and We the People.
