Beethoven's Wig - Beethoven’s Wig 3: Many More Sing-Along Symphonies
- Silliness is alive and well on this latest installment from the Beethoven’s Wig series.
Following their tradition of selecting exerts from the great Classical opuses and writing catchy and inane lyrics, Beethoven’s Wig’s 3: Many More Sing-Along Symphonies provides an excellent soundtrack for a child’s playtime.
They have veered away from their usual format, including strictly instrumental versions of their songs. However, the songwriting is lacking creativity, making pieces as brief as eleven seconds and very open-ended, leaving the listener wondering what happens next. Granted, children’s attention spans are abbreviated, but even they would be a bit confused by the abrupt stops. Also, some songs are delivered so quickly that it might be hard for children to follow for sing-along purposes.
Overall, this album would be great for planned children’s activities and background music for playtime, but not the best choice for spontaneous listening.
