Various Guys We've All Heard - We Got The Funk [Time Life]
- Oh, this music is terrible! Just awful! What filth! How could you possibly waste more than a minute with this barbaric nonsense about women shaped like brick ranch homes and some young maiden who can apparently best be described as “mighty, mighty?” It’ll never last I tell ya’. How could this stuff possibly gain a popular following? I mean, sure there were those dozens and dozens of films featuring numbers from this album. And then there were the thousands of radio stations that have made this music their mantra themes. And need I even mention the whole 1970’s. But come on! It’s not like you’ve ever heard this stuff before…have you?
Of course you have! This stuff is classic. There’s very little point in reviewing this other than to say the people who compiled it know what was and is popular when it comes to funk. If, for some reason, you don’t happen to own these songs and claim you are a fan of this genre then for shame. Go out and buy yourself a CD boy! Of course, if you have an mp3 player then I’m going to confess you could probably save some money by just burning all these tracks from your computer, but if you don’t have these songs already I doubt very much you have an iPod or whatever the kids are using these days. If you do…for shame! Go download these songs. They’re fun, especially when you’ve got some drinks in ya’. (NOTE: alcohol is not for minors, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t download the songs or buy the CD.)
