Jai Uttal - Loveland/Music For Dreaming And Awakening
- If you want a CD to meditate to then “Loveland/Music For Dreaming And Awakening” by Jai Uttal is the ticket. Though the album only has seven tracks, all are powerful and the definition of divine growth and enlightenment. “Twameva” has an abundance of chanting in another language and gives off an intensely anointed aura, as does most of the album. “Prayer To The Buddha” includes a synthesizer and could put listeners into a trance. The third track is the title track and one you can pray to without any trouble. “Gopala Lullaby” could put listeners to sleep with its restful melody and use of the organ. “Radiance Prayer To The Goddess Sarawait,” one could conceive of hearing as they walk into their chosen house of worship. “Prayer To Shakyamuni” is similar to the previous track; a song one could listen to while visiting a faraway land on a holy pilgrimage. In conclusion, Jai Uttal’s “Loveland/Music For Dreaming And Awakening” is an impassioned album to execute your religious customs to or to just unwind to.
