Beauty

Vargo's "Beauty," is a hypnotic album filled with mesmerizing tracks about splendor of the mind, body and soul. "Get Back To Serenity (Beach Mix)" is a spellbinding track that recaps the phrase, "Get Back," numerous times. "Relax (Blank & Jones Mix)" has birds chirping in the background and an ultramodern angle.

Nature sounds are rampant on "Beauty" and they add to the refreshing current of the album. "Pure Consciousness (Interlude)" begins like a relaxation tape with the sound of a stream and spoken word lyrics such as, "If there is nothing more than silence, nothing more. Then you will be able to get in touch with yourself." The fourth track, "The Moment (Short Chorus Mix)" begins with raindrops falling, but has a casual groove and the work of Roland Cabezas on Spanish guitar. It's a song one could see being on the soundtrack to a dance movie like "Shall We Dance," starring Jennifer Lopez. "Jah Ray (Ja Mix) opens with MC Jahkey B revving things up and gives a breath of the mystical to the track. Drips of water are utilized again in "Silence (Original Mix)" and the lyrics dribble with spoken word lyrics like, "Flowing silence is love. Shared silence is friendship."

Stephanie Hundertmark and Florence Chicault enunciate the spoken word portions of "Beauty"; their voices are magnetic to a listener's ear. "Happiness (Interlude)" is a brief intermission with yet another animal of nature interceding, crickets and more spoken word lyrics with a message, "We can only be good if we are happy."

Vargo's "Beauty," is a relieving grouping of tracks that seems to aim at sending an inspirational point to all that will heed it.
