Everclear - Welcome to the Drama Club
- The Portland-based band last enjoyed Top 40 radio success in 2000 with "Songs from an American Movie, Vol. 1: Learning How to Smile," which yielded the singles "AM Radio" and the band's most popular single "Wonderful."

Six years later, after releasing its final albums at Capitol Records label and shifting band members, Everclear returns with "Welcome to the Drama Club." The band seems to have only improved on its strengths from "Learning How to Smile," creating catchy tunes that are humorous, serious or both simultaneously.

Everclear fills the album with plenty of radio-friendly potential singles, most of them featuring the signature stuck-in-your-head-all-day hooks few other bands can produce as well as Everclear. The middle tracks make up the strongest part of the record, with "Hater," "Glorious" and "The Drama King" consecutively providing the catchiest melodies on the album.

Although it hits occasional moments where the songs become irritatingly noisy, the album redeems itself to the very end with "The Arizona Room" and the bouncy hidden track "Beautiful Dream."
