Gin Blossoms - Major Lodge Victory
- The Gin Blossoms return with their first new album in 10 years, “Major Lodge Victory.” This album was certainly worth the wait. “Major Lodge Victory” is filled with great songs, none of which fall flat. There is a wide range of songs from slow ballads like the album’s closing track “California Sun” and the haunting “Jet Black Sunrise” to more up-tempo pop songs such as the current single “Learning the Hard Way” as well as the easy flowing “Curious Thing” and the amazingly catchy “Heart Shaped Locket.” The album does not fail to keep the listeners attention and is never disappointing. The Gin Blossoms have proven themselves to be more than simply a huge pop band of the 90s. This album proves they have what it takes to become a major pop music force in the 21st century.
