Aberdeen City - The Freezing Atlantic
- “The Freezing Atlantic” by Aberdeen City is a solid alternative album any fans of Audioslave or Radiohead should pick up.

The best song on the album by far is, “God Is Going to Get Sick of Me.” “God is Going to get sick of me/And the accident/That takes the beat from my heart/Will look like it was my fault,” are the lyrics to the chorus of the song. Much of the album contains deep lyrics with the force only to come from the writer’s life experiences.

The lead signer has a little rasp to his voice, but not enough to make you want to turn off the CD or tell the band to look for a new front man. The album also contains the slower alternative songs with even deeper meanings and better lyrics then the quick-paced songs.

There are two knocks against the album. The first is the instruments are always quiet and in the background; if you like the instrumental parts of an alternative album they are few and far between. The other knock is the album is only 10 tracks long and feels to be over by the time you are really starting to get into it.

Overall, “The Freezing Atlantic” is a definite buy for any fans of alternative or rock music.
