Balance of Terror - Wrecking Crew
- There is only one way to describe “Balance of Terror” by Wrecking Crew – awful.

The band tries for the Slipknot style of music only to fall flat on its face. To begin, the album was recorded poorly. The tracks are hard to hear and even harder to understand. I do get the point that the music is supposed to be in your face and lightening fast, but it is almost impossible to pick up on any of the lyrics without listening to each track a dozen times.

And I know I’ve written this in some other reviews, but every song sounds exactly the same; I mean the exact same. The lyrics, the music, the poor recording, the whole sha-bang sounds the same from track to track. I’m beginning to wonder if I got a defective CD with one track that repeats over and over and doesn’t have the other tracks that were supposed to be on the album.

Unless you want to see what it’s like to put a cooking pot on your head and have someone bang it with a wooden spoon, “Balance of Terror” should remain on the shelf and not in your CD collection.
