20th Anniversary

The real fans of The Rippingtons are raving about "20th Anniversary," and I will admit I do not know enough about jazz to rave about it, but it did get my head moving and keep me compelled throughout the entire album.

My favorite song on the album is the opening track "City of Angels." I thought the group did a nice job of using the piano and saxophone as the main instruments in the song. They also added a guitar and drums, which is the reason why this song appealed to be so much. Even though I knew I was listening to smooth jazz, I wasn't upset or ready to turn the channel, like most of the time when I am listening to smooth jazz.

Overall "20th Anniversary" was a decent album, and I bet more hardcore fans of jazz will love this album and suggest everybody else who enjoys the genre goes out and purchases the album.
