Emmanuel Santarromana - Fab4Ever
- Classically trained musician turned DJ, Emmanuel Santarromana, puts an electric spin on classic Beatles tunes. This album is both incredibly original and very familiar. Santarromana has a fresh and interesting sound and brings a different look to the landscape of the Beatles. This is more than a simple cover album; there is much beyond the surface of the songs, though they were already written much music had to be written around them in order to fit Santarromana’s vision. Even the famously covered “Across the Universe” has a completely new life on “Fab4Ever.” The album fits together well and has a sort of industrial feel to it. The vocals are often hauntingly vivid in the dark groove of the album. This is one to check out whether you love the Beatles, or even if you have more modern tastes.
