The Sound of Peace

John Fluker is an amazingly talented musician. "The Sound of Peace" is his first album of his own music, though he has a long history of playing piano for many talented musicians. From a young age John loved playing piano, especially at night. He feels this is the best time to compose music for him, as this is the time he feels most creative. The album is somewhat inspired by Fluker's late father who would often encourage his son to record the music he often composed late at night.

All 14 songs were composed late at night, and I think this shows through in the music. The sound is moving and haunting, almost like the sound of a dream being composed in one's head as they lay asleep. There is a beautiful quality to the pieces; they stir something deep within a listener. These pieces are wonderful and full of deep and wonderful emotion. This is a great album to relate and fall asleep to, or to get lost in when the pressures of the world get too much. This album is absolutely an escape to somewhere deeply moving and wonderful. If peace was a sound, I believe John Fluker is right to label this album as being that sound.

This is quite possibly one of the most beautiful works of piano pieces one can buy. The tracks themselves, do more then simply blend together, the listener easily get lost in the sound as if it has created a new world, a beauty and discovery for the listener to the point where there are no individual songs, only the sound of this beautiful landscape. This is a haunting, thrilling and captivating album that is well worth the attention of anyone.
