Yesan Damen - The Never Beginning Story
- A temperate bundle of tracks along with some fetching dance tunes describes Yesan Damen’s “The Never Beginning Story.” “Sailors Trading Stones” has Damen’s resounding vocals that are especially unforgettable. “Perfect (Or So It Seems), is unequivocally the best song to loosen up to with Damen muttering his lyrics. “Promise To Remember” attests to repair a dilemma with lines like, “I’ll take them away cause you mean more to me.” “Tonight” includes drums and piano play and an “ooohhh” in the intro, which is comforting and eerie at the same time. “The Summer Breeze” has a female vocalist singing alongside Damen and adds a heavenly tone to the breezy track with Damen breathing “1,2,3,” at the intro and lyrics like, “Back and forth I’m sure you had it up to here… Carried all my pain, the season never changed for you and me, we will always be eternally in the summer breeze.” “Stained Glass” has some great guitar work. “That Was A Fast Party” bids adieu to the rest of the album in terms of style, it has a sharper edge and a more “move your feet” rhythm to it that can get a party started in a hurry. To say that Yesan Damen’s “The Never Beginning Story” has a myriad of emotions attached to each song would be an understatement, but listeners would do well to explore all of the tracks and see if Damen’s reactions gel with theirs.
