The Pete Zimmer Quintet - Judgment
- The Pete Zimmer Quintet is a wonderfully talented group of inventive and passionate musicians. “Judgment” is one of those Jazz albums that feels improvised while obviously being meticulously crafted. Led by accomplished drummer, Pete Zimmer, the quintet provides nine unbelievable tracks. The songs on this album are so full of passion and free energy that listening to the album really creates a free and open state of mind that inspires creativity and freethinking. The CD unfolds as a sort of wordless story. The centerpiece of the album is an amazing 10-minute track, which fittingly enough falls right in the center (track five of nine,) this track is amazingly expressive and beautifully improvisational and fits wonderfully with the album. The entire thing feels almost like one flowing piece of music, almost like a symphony played by just five people. This is an exceptional album that should not be overlooked.
