Urban Mystic - Ghetto Revelations, Vol. 2
- A cool beat with prize vocalizations describes Urban Mystic’s “Ghetto Revelations, Vol. 2.” “It’s You” has sly harmonizing which makes for a keen groove to start the album. “Where Were You” states matter-of-factly this band has arrived and is here to stay with the line, “You knew you were blessed with the best of hip-hop.” “My Block” mentions Jesus Christ and chronicles the band’s trek to stardom with the lyric, “Look how far we’ve come.” “Can U Handle This” has erotic whispering and a back and forth exchange with a female vocalist in the background, which adds to the salacious tone. This song gets straight to the point with the line, “Makin’ love on a Persian rug.” “Bounce Wit Me” is sure to be a club hopping hit with its buoyant beat; it’s guaranteed to get people jumpin’. “I Refuse” is a slow jam that opens with a conversation between two ex-lovers who run into each other after a long time apart. The ardent voices of both the male and female suggest this encounter could result in a reunion and the feelings are still there. Urban Mystic’s “Ghetto Revelations. Vol. 2” has groovy beats and club worthy hits that go from one spectrum of hip-hop to the other but are all certified to make you move.
