Joshua Bell - Voice Of The Violin
- Joshua Bell’s “Voice Of The Violin,” speaks volumes to anyone who listens to it. “Vocalise, Op. 34, No 14” is exquisitely executed. With “Ave Maria” Bell makes the violin sob with unbridled passion. “Pourqoui me réveiller from Werther” could be a song in the legendary “Phantom of the Opera” with its looming quality. “Après un rêve, Op. 7, No.1” sounds like a piano is accompanying Bell. “Laudate Dominum from Vesperae solennes de confessore for soloists, chorus & orchestra, K. 339” sounds as if Bell has unearthed something and is celebrating through the violin. “None but the Lonely Heart, Op.6/6” could be a song a couple falling in love would dance to at an extravagant ball. If you are an admirer of classical music, especially the silvery strands of the violin, then Joshua Bell’s “Voice Of The Violin” will make your heart thump and weep all at the same time.
