Obie Trice - Second Round's on Me
- Obie Trice’s “Second Round’s on Me” is an album that uses Obie’s smooth rapping style and solid beats to create a near-perfect rap album.

Obie, known for coming from Detroit and Eminem’s Shady Records, pulls out all the big rappers he knows, but does not overdo the album with corroborations. Eminem, Trick Trick, Nate Dogg and 50 Cent are some of the big names who appear on Trice’s new album. My favorite song on the album would be “There They Go,” probably because I hail from Detroit, but the song features rappers from the 313 making plenty of references about home.

“All my Life” featuring Nate Dogg is the typical Nate Dogg club hopping song. It would not surprise me to here this song on a weekend night in the near future.

Obie does include the traditional rap ballad on the album, where he raps about the harder times in his life. The rap ballads are tastefully done and are not over-top-with gloom or self-promotion.

“Second Round’s on Me” is a great rap album that fans of Eminem or mainstream rappers should purchase.
