Casket Salesmen - Sleeping Giants
- “Sleeping Giants” by the Casket Salesmen is an interesting mix of songs with a pretty interesting sound. The guitar is especially interesting with many strong riffs, really moving this sound forward. The vocals on the album, however, are nothing new; this style of singing has been done to death. It seems like many bands have this sort of overly melodic voice over their music, reminiscent of Radiohead or the Mars Volta. They are, however, well done and fit the music well. Despite this sort of blandness of vocals, Sleeping Giants is fun to listen to. No two tracks are alike and they even go so far as to include a saxophone on one of their more interesting tracks. This music is rich and plays incredibly well; this is a very well made album.

This is the sort of artistic band that doesn’t necessarily play well with everyone, however this is the sort of music that well deservingly creates die hard fans. This is one of the deepest and most expressive rock albums that can be found currently. I would give it among my highest recommendation. The album is good all the way through and this is one that should certainly be worth its purchase price. This is the sort of album many bands want to make, but few have achieved making something of this caliber. This is one to remember, and the Casket Salesmen are a band to look out for in the future, as they seem like the type to continue to push boundaries and create something different.
