Panoramic - Rhythm Through the Unobstructed View
- “Rhythm Through the Unobstructed View” by Panoramic is a unique sounding jazz album, sounding more like the music you would hear on a beach than in a jazz-club.

While the music does have the jazz feel with a heavy emphasis on the bass and saxophone, the use of steel drums and other Caribbean instruments brings a unique sound to the jazz genre. Many of the songs I would expect to hear as I head out for the night on some Caribbean island.

The only knock against the songs is many of them begin to sound repetitive after awhile. You hear the steel drums, then it goes back to saxophone, then drums, then sax and so on and gets repetitive after awhile.

While “Rhythm Through the Unobstructed View” does provide a unique sound in the jazz field, the fact it is the same sound on every track prevents this album from truly breaking through as a great piece of work.
