Best known for his occasional appearances on "The Daily Show," Demetri Martin is one of todays fastest rising comedic talents. "These Are Jokes" is likely the funniest comedy album I have ever heard. Martin is full of incredibly witty and well-crafted one-line observations. Martin is one of those comics who is incredibly imaginative and talented that even at this early stage in his career, there is a spark of future excellence. His rapid-fire style will keep you continuously laughing throughout the entire one hour and 11 minutes. The album ends with interesting, yet still funny experimental rock music. This is a change of pace on a stand up comedy album, but is somehow fitting with the incredibly quirky feel of the album. This is one of those albums that should be picked up by anyone who enjoys stand up comedy. I would strongly recommend this album to anyone, whether you're a fan of George Carlin, Dane Cook or Steven Lynch this album is sure to please.
