Catie Curtis - Long Night Moon
- Catie Curtis’s new album “Long Night Moon,” is a wonderful mix of folk music and rock. There are beautiful acoustic sounds on this record that meld strikingly with Catie’s fantastic voice. Catie’s raspy but strong sound will keep you glued to the speaker.

Catie seems to reveal a lot in this album. Each song is as marvelously well written as the last and listeners won’t be able to turn the music off. The songs focus on love and the trials of life. Including “Long Night Moon,” which is about the arrival of her adopted daughter, which occurred later than expected.

Her band consists of bassist Mike Rivard, guitarists—Kevin Barry, Mark Erellli and John Hennings and drummer John Sands. Each of these extremely talented musicians has preformed with other famous artists such as Paula Cole and Aimee Mann.

I would definitely recommend this CD to folk rock/pop lovers. It is a beautiful blending of sound all should hear.
