Placido Domingo - Moments of Passion
- Placido Domingo’s “Moments of Passion” has points of such fire and fever that even those who normally don’t like opera will be moved to tears. “Willkommen bei Uns (Welcome)” has a triumphant flow about it accompanied by Domingo’s booming voice. On “Turandot-Nessun Dorma!” Domingo shatters with a voice that will be buried endlessly in whomever listens to it. “Granada” has a conquering bend as well and might be the background music in a movie about an underdog fighter who becomes successful.

“Tosca-E Lucevan le Stelle” sounds as if Domingo is thinking back to a love that has gone astray. “Rigoletto-La Donna È Mobile” is a classic that could be heard on an upcoming episode of ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars” while a couple dances to its sweet strains. “Perhaps Love” portrays Domingo’s lighter voice with charming lines like, “Perhaps love is like a window perhaps an open door. It invites you to come closer, it wants to show you more.” “Aida-Se Quel Guerrier Io Fossi!” has Domingo’s voice then a towering trumpet. “Moments of Passion” from Placido Domingo is a testament to unadulterated passion expressed through voice,
