Aaron Comess - Catskills Cry
- “Catskills Cry” by Aaron Comess is a concoction of mystifying tracks and sedate ones, which make this album a diverse one in terms of its sound. The intro on most of the tracks has a fade-in that sets listeners up to either be rocked or taken to a far-off place with its variant rumblings. The first track has a good-natured flow to it and you can picture floating in the air while you listen to it. The second track has a denser vibe to it and includes drum play that puts the rock stamp on the album. The third track has wild drumming pulses and what could be construed as a tribal intro. The fourth track has more drums pounding and could be a song in a movie when the central character makes an earth-shattering discovery. The fifth track has cymbals in the background which gives the song a more jolly flow. In the end, “Catskills Cry” by Aaron Comess is an album with its share of intense songs and ones that listeners might not expect to hear on a rock album.
