Infradig - Clinical Indifference (the Psychology of Breathing)
- A mishmash of curious noises makes up Infradig’s “Clinical Indifference.” The first song has hushed drumming almost to the point you can’t even hear it followed by march-like thrashing and mind-bending sounds. The second song has considerable drumming and a band member laughing maniacally which is followed by more electric sounds. The third song opens with what sounds like a gust of wind and then piano play. In between the piano you can hear people talking about events and maybe even some confessions. The fourth song has more piano and the electric sounds now have an echo to them which gives them a little more pizzazz. The fifth song is an all-out deviation from what listeners have heard so far. It is upbeat and chirpy with what could be a keyboard throughout. It is not what you would expect on an album that seems to be geared more toward the electronica musical market. If you are an electronica music genre lover then Infradig’s “Clinical Indifference” will satisfy your hunger and you might just be in for some surprises as well.
