Charlotte Martin - Stromata
- “Stromata” by Charlotte Martin is a decent singer-songwriter album that fans of Tori Amos will like, but the entire album was a bit boring to me.

Maybe it is because I was never a big Tori Amos or Sarah McLachlan fan and that is why the album never grew on me. Many of the songs were slow and sounded like something you could play to lullaby someone to sleep.

I will say, Martin does have a powerful voice which is best presented in the track “Just Before Dawn.” It is in this song Martin seems to hit every possible note on the musical scale.

Just because I wasn’t a huge fan of the music doesn’t mean you won’t be. Fans of slow adult cotemporary music will probably love “Stromata,” I just didn’t.
