Vanessa Hudgens - V
- Vanessa Hudgens is either going to be considered a trend setter or five-years behind.
“V” is an album of pop music not heard since late last century at the height of Britney Spears/Christina Aguilera hysteria. The album does have a little bit of an edge, but still sounds like the older pop albums, not like today’s albums by Kelly Clarkson.
She is either bringing back the fad that has gone in hibernation or she is behind the time, I just can’t decide which it is.
Hudgens starred in “High School Musical” and doesn’t have the most powerful or best voice in the world – but did Spears? Some of the songs seem to be a bit juvenile, but that can probably be attributed to Hudgens' young age and minimal life experiences.
“V” is a decent pop album and to most people it is going to feel stale or it is going to feel like it is reviving the genre that once dominated the charts.
