Berklee College of Music - We are All Connected
- “We are All Connected,” by the Berklee College of Music, is exactly what you would expect to hear from a university music program – sounds that push boundaries and sound so crazy they are considered ahead of their time.
The CD consists of every style of music you could think of -- jazz, rock, pop -- and music for which I don’t know if a genre exists.
But, while the CD is nice to push boundaries and create new sounds, to me it just sounds like noise. Each of the new sounds is something some graduate student tried, but each one seems to sound like nothing at all. Maybe it's because I’m not a music major; heck, I can’t even play a musical instrument or carry a tune, but to me the sounds are not pleasant. I can’t follow where the music is going or what instruments are being played. It sounds like a bunch of kids picking up the closest instrument and trying to play.
Maybe real music experts will like “We are All Connected,” but to me it sounded like racket and not music.
