The New Cast Recording - A Chorus Line
- Right off the bat, I have to admit I have never heard the original Broadway cast's recording of A Chorus Line, so I have nothing to which I can compare “A Chorus Line - The New Cast Recording." That being said, the new cast recording sounds great and doesn’t mutilate the songs made famous by the original cast.
The two most famous songs from the production, “One” and “I Can Do That” sound great. Many of us have heard these songs performed by various television characters or by the traveling cast, and the versions that appear on the CD are better than all of those versions.
“A Chorus Line - The New Cast Recording" is a great version of a classic Broadway musical. Fans of musical theater should consider picking up this CD, if they do not have the original cast recording.
