Permanent ME - After the Room Clears
- After the Room Clears, by Permanent ME, is a great rock album that is pleasing to the ear because it avoids falling into the trap of trying to sound like the whiney rock bands on today’s music scene.

The band's sound is something in between Yellowcard and Sum 41. It is a little bit more punk than Yellowcard, but not enough to turn me off to the band entirely. The vocals are typical for a rock album, nothing too great and occasionally there is too much yelling, but otherwise decent.

The band's first single, “Christine,” is a song you could expect to see on MTV one day. The song about the ex-girl is the standard for punk rock, but the instrumentals have a little bit more of an edge, which is why I like this song.

After the Room Clears is a punk-rock album I actually like, which is surprising, considering most of that genre makes me want to chuck the CD out the window.
