Beth Waters - This Little Piggy
- Beth Waters is a singer/songwriter out of San Francisco. Her angelic voice gives her music a soft, harmonious tone toward her music.
Waters has had three albums that she released. Her debut was entitled Over the Tide and came out in 2000. Her self-titled second album was released in 2003, and her most recent that was released this year is called This Little Piggy. Don’t be fooled by the title, this is Waters' most mature album yet.
“While making This Little Piggy, I really felt like I was able to stretch my legs, explore new sounds and take chances that I've never had the luxury of taking before. It really felt as if we were sculptors working with music instead of clay. As our hands moved, the music took the shape it was meant to take. The songs written on guitar or piano had a skeleton and their soul, but needed life, and that process was about experimentation and trust.”
This Little Piggy is extremely soulful with a hint of folk-like sound similar to well known singer/songwriter, Jewel. Waters' songs are very meaningful and inspirational to the listener. Her soothing, soft voice gives a very relaxed atmosphere to her album.
