Falkner Evans Trio - Climbing The Gates
- Climbing The Gates, by the Falkner Evans Trio, gives listeners tracks for any state of mind; whether you’re in a bouncy or blue mood, this album fits any disposition. The first track has piano and drum work for a snappy opening song. The second track dawdles a bit and has more of a mournful tone to it. It might be one played in the background of a motion picture where the main character is walking alone as he contemplates his life. The third track brings the mood back up and sparkles with percussion and cymbal work. The fourth track has more percussion play and adds some shaker work to really liven things up. The fifth track has more percussion and stringent piano notes. The sixth track has a classical piano feel to it, a song one would hear late night at their local piano bar as the night draws to a close. Climbing The Gates, by the Falkner Evans Trio, definitely ascends the barriers of jazz and breaks them down.
