Brazil - The Philosophy of Velocity
- Brazil’s The Philosophy of Velocity is the band’s debut album on Immortal Records and it gives listeners a conglomeration of instruments and vocal fluctuations. “On Safe-Cracking and Rubella” has the actual sound of the safe-cracking attempt in the background—an obscure yet effective tool in the song that could keep listeners curious about the remainder of the album. “Crime (and the Antique Solution)” has guitar from Eric Johnson and Aaron Smith, as well as drums from James Sefchek. “You Never Know” has keyboard work from Jonathon Newby, as well as more pounding drum play from Sefchek and bass work from Philip Williams. “The Vapours” has throbbing drum work from Sefchek, whose agility on the instrument portrays his skill. “Cameo” could be a song in a movie during a chase scene or where a character is fleeing their pursuer. Brazil’s The Philosophy of Velocity is an immensely charged album that will get you up and your blood pumping.
