Jeremy Camp - Beyond Measure
- Beyond Measure, by Jeremy Camp, is a wonderful male, solo, rock, Christian album. The songs have a harder beat than many Christian songs, but the measure stays true to the worshiping theme.
Camp’s sound is much like that of Nickelback. The instrumentals are very slow during the verse and get louder and more intense during the choruses. Camp’s voice is also that of today’s alternative rockers or Chad Kruger of Nickelback.
“Let It Fade” is by far the best song on the album. Its lyrics aren’t overly Christian (unlike many other songs on the album), which means it is something you could hear on popular radio. The song provides an inspirational message of letting things go and moving on – a theme we all need to hear sometimes.
Beyond Measure is a wonderfully crafted Christian album. I hope fans of alternative rock will also give this album a try, as it provides the sound to which they have grown accustomed.
