Gary Kyle - Livin’
- The prodigal country album with lyrics that get down to the guts of the artist, Gary Kyle’s Livin’ will elate any country listener. “I’ll Pay For This” has bounding guitar and Kyle confessing about a relationship gone sour and that he wants to get rid of the anguish it brings, with lines like, “Too much fightin’ and too much pain. All this screamin’ is drivin’ me insane. I wanna leave it all behind. So tonight I’m gonna drink her off my mind.” The title track has a slower tempo and speaks about getting on with the affairs of living, with lines like, “Why are you here? Why do you stay? Don’t you feel your whole life slippin’ away? This is not what you want, it’s never been. You gotta get up and start livin’.” “I Can’t Stop” has percussion and piano along with Kyle talking about a woman that has moved on and how he can’t cut off his feelings, with lines like, “I look at you, look at him. I see his car in your drive when I pass by but I can’t stop, I can’t stop lovin’ you. And until this time I thought I still could be the one, the one to hold your hand. But I don’t understand why I can’t stop, I cant stop lovin’ you. You said it was over, you told me we were through, I try to move on but no matter what I do, I can’t stop lovin’ you.” Gary Kyle’s Livin’ has anthems about existing to the fullest and the regrets life can bring in the quintessential country tone.
