Danny Elfman - Charlotte’s Web: Music from the Motion Picture
- Composer Danny Elfman has put together a mirthful score for the live-action adaptation of E.B. White’s classic tale. Charlotte’s Web: Music from the Motion Picture is a true find. “Lullaby/Escape” is a dreamy song that listeners who are mothers can play as they lull their babies into dreamland. The track has what sounds like a flute, which adds to the fanciful feeling. Dakota Fanning emotes saccharin filled lyrics like, “Go to sleep, my little one. The sun has said goodbye for now. The moon shines on the beautiful…” "In The Mud” has piano and what sounds like violin for a delightful song. “Templeton” could be in a portion of the movie where a treasure is about to be uncovered. “The Plan Begins” is a fun-loving track to which listeners can picture the timeless characters frolicking about. Sarah McLachlan lends her tender vocals to “Ordinary Miracle,” a song co-written by ex-Eurythmics member, Dave Stewart. McLachlan muses about the everyday wonders that go unnoticed, with lyrics like, “It’s not that unusual when everything is beautiful. It’s just another ordinary miracle today. The sky knows when it's time to snow, don’t need to teach a seed to grow. It’s just another ordinary miracle today. Life is like a gift they say, wrapped up for you everyday, open up and find a way, give some of your own. Isn’t it remarkable, like every time a raindrop falls. It’s just another ordinary miracle today.” The Charlotte’s Web: Music from the Motion Picture album is one that will gladden your mood and remind you what a gift the lifelong bond that is friendship can be.
