Enigma - LSD: Love, Sensuality and Devotion: The Greatest Hits
- Enigma’s LSD: Love, Sensuality and Devotion, is a greatest hits collection from the unmatchable Michael Cretu, that spans songs from 1990 to 2000. It includes one new track from this musical magician who fuses techno and chanting to make music that caresses the soul as well as soothes it. “Turn Around (Northern Lights Club Mix)” is the new song and it is perfect to meditate to, most especially while taking a bubble bath, due to the fizzy sounds mixed in. Listeners can turn this track on and immerse themselves in their favorite frothy soak and forget all their cares and worries. “Age of Loneliness (Enigmatic Club Mix)” has more of a techno feel with beeping like Morse code throughout. Enigma’s acclaimed Gregorian chants are blended in for a track that will jubilate fans and possibly bring additional ones into the fold. “Push the Limits (ATB remix)” is spiritual and sensual all at the same time for an eclectic sounding song. A song Enigma zealots will remember from their 1994 album, “The Cross of Changes,” “Return to Innocence (380 Midnight Mix)” adds a club beat that makes it poised to be heard in the dance clubs. Of course, no Enigma greatest hits album would be complete without the song that put them on the map, “Sadness, Part 1 (Violent U.S. remix).” This classic Enigma song has been sped up, but that does not detract from its powerful tones and message. LSD: Love, Sensuality and Devotion, by Enigma, is a must have for devotees and a chance for those unfamiliar with them to get a sampling of some of the works spanning their illustrious career.
