Ponieheart Crane Orchard - Ponieheart Crane Orchard
- Ponieheart Crane Orchard’s self-titled album is a funky yet cryptic blend of songs that might confuse some listeners and intrigue others. The first song has what sounds like water dripping and other eccentric sounds along the crestfallen male vocalist waxing poetic about his existence, with lines like, “Table gather round, talk…Lies in my feeble brain sometimes I cannot remember my name. I’m gone so fast.” The second song has more doleful guitar play and lines like, “Hold the light…In your head it’s always night, in your head it’s always raining.” The third song has rhythmic drumming mixed with guitar for an anesthetic track. The fourth song has enigmatical drumming that accompanies the calamitous and repeated line, “I died.” The fifth song has acoustic guitar that gives some much needed slack to the album. Ponieheart Crane Orchard’s self-titled album is mostly filled with odd lyrics and downtrodden feelings, but some of the instrument play is worth taking the time to listen to.
