Article One - Article One
- Article One’s self-titled album is one that is chock full of lines about mischance and a vocalist who can make listeners really feel his heartache and pain with each line he utters. “Slow Down” has a slow build up, then the tempo kicks right in. It could be a song in a movie where the lead character has begun a voyage of self-discovery, with lyrics like, “Well I’m tryin’ and he couldn’t believe it. Head high and he on the first hit now. Front page now you got me reading, you say you like the feelin’ yeah.” “Say It Again” has drum work and talks about how the vocalist is craving his beloved and how he is totally enamored with her, with lyrics like, “How I am, the way I am when I can see your face, I see your face. How I feel, the way I feel when you are far away, you’re far away, you know that I’m thinkin’ about. You know I’m takin’ by you.” “No Time At All” has guitar and what sounds like a violin. It makes inquiries about the meaning of the emotions, both good and bad, that occur throughout life, with lyrics like, “If life’s a gift then who's to blame? Where’s the love and all the pain? You gotta get it together and put it right. Say what you mean if it takes all night. I’m yours. In no time at all the world could fall to pieces. In no time at all our lives could come apart.” Article One’s self-titled album is one filled with inquests about life’s ups and downs and does it in a way that will please listeners and make them think as well.
