Eye Talk - Sun and Moon
- Sun and Moon, by Eye Talk, is a euphonious mix of tracks that seem to have an alternate meaning behind them and are sung by a male vocalist whose emotions echo through each and every note. “I Can’t Fool Myself” has a futuristic disco sound to it with its electronica beats, drums and synthesizer work. It speaks about perplexities in life and how to deal with them, with lyrics like, “It doesn’t make a difference. Doesn’t really matter anymore. That’s what I keep telling myself so I feel secure. I can’t fool, I can’t fool myself anymore.” “Stop Pretending” has guitar and percussion work and has a pop-like vibe to it, with lyrics such as, “I wait a minute. Look what I have found. Listen to the silence, there’s so much sound.” “Pain of Letting Go” has guitar and drum play and talks about unhappiness, the pain of handling it and realizing something previously unknown about oneself, with lyrics like, “I still see the reason through the tears we cry. Some things were never meant to be no matter how hard we tried.” The title track has some previously unheard instruments such as the saxophone for a jazz bend to the song and an influx of soul. There is also piano and percussion present that adds even more spirit to the track. It imparts vivid imagery with lyrics such as, “Waves are restless under the moonlight, changing landscapes, every day and every night. The flowers fall after the blade cuts through…Try to catch what it is you do, just a little longer to be the one. I always knew that this day would come.” Eye Talk’s Sun and Moon is a thought-provoking album filled with metaphors that will keep listeners minds occupied and entranced.
