MxPx - Let It Happen
- MxPx’s Let It Happen is a compilation album filled with tracks from the band’s early days along with demos, b-sides, and previously unreleased songs. “Role Remodeling” has guitar and is a rebellious song about not wanting to conform to society’s stereotypes, with lyrics like, “Come on let’s break it down, let’s cause a commotion…So what’s it gonna be and who’s gonna come with me? It's time to make a change and one is never easy. So let’s roll, with this role remodeling I refuse to be, I refuse to see to this role remodeling.” “Prozac” is an ode to the anxiety physic but the song has a twist in that the band is going insane over a love, with lyrics like, “You think I’m crazy cuz I love you.” “Your Turn” has a thrilling guitar riff intro and is about taking charge of one’s life and leaving certain things behind, with lyrics like, “This is where it starts so you packed your bags and threw away your heart. Cuz where you’re goin’ you won’t need it anyway.” “Sick Boy” is a cover of the Social D song. If you are a fan of the band or if you are just eager for some feel good songs to get your adrenaline pumping, then MxPx’s Let It Happen is a record that listeners should just let ensue in their ears.
