Hobex - Enlightened Soul
- The musical group Hobex came out with their first album, Payback, back in 1996 and have brought three deliciously talented albums after that. Their sophomore album, Back in the 90s, came out in 1998, U Ready Man? came out in 2002 and their most recent record, Enlightened Soul is scheduled to be released on January 20 of this year.
Greg Humphreys is the creator of the Motown/funk band and originated the group back in the year of their first album. Along with singer/songwriter/guitarist Humphreys, is Bassist Andy Ware and drummer Steve "the doctor" Hill to make up Hobex.
The group has a different sound; a mix of soul, funk, rock and roll and even some folk influences find their way in the music. Most of the songs are upbeat and fun. They are definitely not a group you want to listen to if you're trying to unwind after a busy day. Hobex is more of the type of group you want to listen to at a local bar while having a few beers.
