Brian Atkinson - Capistrano Sessions
- Brian Atkinson’s Capistrano Sessions is a moderated array of tunes that are sure to cool your senses, unwind your mind and maybe inspire you to get up and dance.

“Lookear” has drum, cymbal, piano and what sounds like saxophone work, all meshed together for a snappy rhythm. Its beat will infect your judgment and you will feel the inescapable pull to boogie down.

“Capistrano” has more piano and cymbal work. It is an insouciant tune that is guaranteed to bring a grin to your face. You might even picture a distant land where you can listen to this song while you bask in the moonlight on a sandy beach.

“Rivers” has what sounds like a trumpet accompanied by piano and drum work. The measure and beat of the song, along with its structured rhythm, is akin to an announcement that some head of state is entering a large arena where he or she will be greeted with great fanfare.

On “October,” the slow beat of the song could remind listeners of the drifted feeling of the winter month. It has a jazzy yet sultry feeling and could be a song heard in a movie, while a character perambulates down a smoke-filled street, contemplating his or her actions.

Capistrano Sessions, by Brian Atkinson, is a record you can turn on while engaging in your simple pleasure of choice, perhaps a bubble bath or the like. Either way, it is one album that will cause your whole body to sing with enjoyment.
