Antoine Bleck - Mes Illusions
- Antoine Bleck’s Mes Illusions is almost entirely sung in French, but even if you don’t speak a word of the dialect of love, you can ascertain Bleck’s inferences with his sultry voice.
The first track has guitar, piano and Bleck’s sizzling voice. It is music to listeners’ ears as he sensually emotes his lyrics.
The second track has more guitar but adds percussion to the mix. This one has an island-like flow to it with its cool undertones and rhythm. Bleck’s voice is like silk as he utters his lyrics in a sweet beat.
The third track is a departure from the preceding ones. It has a disco rhythm to it and drum play. One can envision hearing this in a retro club somewhere in Paris. Bleck whispers his lyrics and some might be reminded of the late Barry White as Bleck evokes his epicurean spirit with this song.
The fourth track has piano and percussion, is sung in English and is a duet with a female singer. The track seems to be about a woman and how Bleck just adores the very ground she walks on, with lyrics like, “I sleep in her bed, she’s in her nightgown, waiting for her mother to come back, so quiet and pretty…How could she ever be so good…You make everybody so happy…You make life as it should be.” Bleck emotes his utter joy at being in this woman’s presence and how she brings such happiness to his existence.
Antoine Bleck’s Mes Illusions is a hot blend of tracks that even though they are sung for the most part in another language, you cannot help but feel the profundity of the emotions he expresses in each and every song.
