Catherine Duc - Visions & Dreams
- Catherine Duc’s one woman band is a treasure from Down Under. Visions and Dreams takes you on an ethereal and exotic journey through instrumentals, influenced by Electronica and World beats stemming from Ireland and Latin America.

“One Autumn Day” is the one song on the album that you want to put words to, due to its poppy beats made with the piano and bass. There are very low backing vocals. The track is childlike in a wistful way.

“Secret Sanctuary,” as the name implies, is a relaxing tune. Two sets of flutes can be heard, giving the song a Celtic feel. The running water in the background soothes the ear, putting the listener in a dream-like state.

We immediately go into “Heart of Andalucia,” a faster paced instrumental. Strings dominate this track against the sound of castanets. The Latin song is romantic and passionate.

If you like Enya and the Pure Moods compilations, then you can’t miss Visions and Dreams.
