The Brazilian Girls - Talk to La Bomb
- A Unique Listening Experience
In today’s pop music world, where manufactured and predictable songs
own the radio waves, many music fans have been left waiting for
something to reawaken their minds and their ears. The Brazilian Girls'
latest album, Talk to La Bomb, has provided people with a refreshing dose of real music. Dubbed as “free-thinking dance music,” The Brazilian
Girls leave their listeners wondering what they just heard, and
completely amazed. Their intoxicating beats and fusion of electro pop
and dance music surge with exhilarating energy. The lead vocalist,
Sabina Sciubba, sings in five different languages throughout the album,
sometimes using all five in one sentence. The rest of the band consists
of a drummer, a keyboardist with a sampler, and a bass player, all
seamlessly creating an imaginative electronic sound. The rhythm section
is what gives Talk to La Bomb its energy. They lay down enticing break beat sections that can suddenly change into earthy and ambient grooves. This can be seen in the album’s first track, “Jique,” where a heavy
electronic background switches to a softer sound mixed with string
instruments during the chorus.
The Brazilian Girls have filled this album with fun and sexy undertones that add to their appeal. They have brilliantly blended several different genres of music to create a completely unique sound that can get anyone to get up and dance.
