Ferraby Lionheart - EP
- Ferraby Lionheart’s EP might remind some of The Beatles, with his subdued harmonizing. The Los Angeles native’s blend of instrument work is reassuring and his lyrics are thought provoking, which will intrigue listeners as well as relax them.

“Tickets to Crickets” has piano in the intro with recurrent spurts of drum work in between. Lionheart’s vocals are restrained as he emotes about never shifting his feelings, with such lines as, “I will never change a single thing…This might be the part where you will start to feel the same.”

On “Won’t Be Long,” there is acoustic guitar work and little else to accompany the lyrics. Yet, the minimal instrumentation works perfectly as Lionheart muses about how composed he feels, even though the time is approaching when he will finally be able to release his feelings for a certain female, with lines such as, “There’s a world outside. I could sleep all day, before I’d change my mind. You’d be miles away. But it won’t be long till I let you go…Don’t forget to walk away, cuz it won’t be long. No it won’t be long till I let you go.” Ferraby’s toned down voice seems to indicate he has come to terms with liberating his emotions toward this woman, despite how much it pains him to do so.

“The Fighter” has banging drum work in the intro which is sure to catch any listeners’ attention right off the bat. This song could be on the soundtrack to a movie detailing the struggle a boxer goes through in his quest to rise in the ranks and achieve notoriety, despite seemingly interminable obstacles. Ferraby explains how combat runs deep in his veins, as he sings lines such as, “I was a fighter. The fight was in my blood. I was a bull, too fierce like the side of a mountain. I was hungry…It’s all I’ve got.”

Ferraby Lionheart’s EP has songs that will both pacify you and make you ponder your innermost emotions. By the time the album is over, you might find that you have awakened notions in your mind you didn’t even know existed.
