Fairy Tales: Music From the Ballet "Hans Christian Andersen"

Jeffrey Fisher's Fairy Tales has upbeat tracks, and ominous ones as well, but all could be music in a variety of motion pictures about princesses and evil witches, or even about daring escapes from peril.

The first song has what sounds like violin followed by melodic drumming. Its rhythm is sweet and downright cheery as listeners can envision a character similar to Little Red Riding Hood skipping through the forest while this song is playing.

The third song has a more ominous flow to it. This song could be played in a scene in a movie where a character is being followed and his or her pursuer has not yet pounced. The build-up, using drums and that signature foreboding beat that is found in many thrillers, seals the deal.

On the fourth song, one can envision a movie where a prince and princess are dancing in a great hall with flowing gowns, sequins and a crystal chandelier overhead. It has a waltz beat and could be a song a couple dances to on the next Dancing with the Stars.

The fifth song has light drumming accompanied by guitar and keyboard play. This song has the melody of a character searching for something, with its toned down flow. The flute comes into play here adding a soft touch to the song.

All in all, Jeffrey Fisher's Fairy Tales is a title that is right on the mark for an album that is filled with songs to which characters such as Snow White and Sleeping Beauty can relate.
