Abra Moore - On The Way
- Abra Moore’s website says that she grew up surrounded by jazz, soul and rock & roll music, and that the mix of styles had “a profound impact” on her own musical exploration. That statement is hard to believe while listening to her album.

On The Way is a relaxing album that sounds somewhat like Enya. Moore’s sweet voice is undoubtedly the focus of the songs. The instrumentation creates a nice backdrop for Moore to sing over, but nothing about the musicians stands out very much. The song, “Sorry,” is an exception; it opens with a nice medley of piano and a wind instrument, but the medley quickly fades out.

This album would be perfect to fall asleep to or do homework to. It has just enough pep to be interesting, but it’s also calm enough to set minds at ease.

Moore’s album isn’t spectacular, but it is quality work. Her music and songwriting is creative and refreshing, although the songs start to sound the same after awhile.
