Eclectric
Svoy's album has a very fitting title for the music it contains. "Eclectric" is full of catchy, pop-like and electronic songs that seem to sit on the fence between unusual and mainstream.
Track seven has atypical computerized instrumentation, but the lyrics and melody sound like any other music that is on the radio today. Each of the other songs contains a similar mix. The combination of the two styles makes the album fascinating; it probably wouldn't have been as interesting if Svoy stuck to one style or another.
The combination of the background music and vocals give this album a somewhat sophisticated feel. Svoy's album gives one the impression of sipping a drink and gazing at the New York City skyline from a fancy high-rise apartment. That scene and Svoy's music both hold the same air of classiness.
"Eclectric" has a generally relaxed mood. Although some of the songs have up-tempo back beats, the vocals are laid back and calming. The music is intriguing and unusual, although not quite so unusual as to turn off listeners who may be fans of mainstream music.
