The Bellamy Brothers - Jesus is Coming
- The Bellamy Brothers’ album, "Jesus is Coming," sounds like the worship song CDs of Alabama. Like those productions, this music is inspirational and has a Southern gospel twang.

The names of the tracks vary from serious to silly. Two of the names are “Wings of the Wind” and “Faith Came Back To Me,” but a third is “Lord Help Me Be The Kind of Person (My Dog Thinks I Am).” Just as you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, these songs can’t be judged by their titles. All of them have same sort of sound; even the dog song is presented in a way that’s more serious than inane.

The music mainly follows a distinct country style, but it doesn’t always stick to it. The song “Grandma’s God” begins with an unusual sound that is more exotic than the guitars and string instruments used throughout the rest of the album. The variation gives the music a unique flair and sets it apart it from other albums of the same genre.

"Jesus is Coming" is a serene but uplifting album. The easygoing genre lends itself well to the songs of praise, worship and reflection. The Southern vocal style, the lyrics and the variety of instruments come together in a way that makes the album refreshing and laid-back.
